Saburo Ozasa immigrated to the U.S. c. 1894, and re-settled in Seattle, WA, by 1908, at least. He was born in Nagasaki, Japan.
In 1908 at the time of his marriage, Ozasa resided at 1012 Pike Street in Seatle and was listed as a "civil engineer" on his marriage license. His age was given as thirty in 1908, giving him a birthdate of c. 1878.
In 01/1909, Sabro Ozasa lived at 695 East 8th Street in Portland, OR, where his son Yoneo was born.
He was the first Asian-American architect practicing in the Puget Sound region.
