Stanley produced the entry fountain with its granite figures representing drama, music and dance for the Hollywood Bowl in 1939-1941. He produced sculptures for the Griffith Park Planetarium, Long Beach Polytechnic High School, Long Beach, CA, and bas reliefs for the Bullocks Wilshire Department Store, Los Angeles, CA, Hoover High School, Glendale, CA, and the Pacific Bell Telephone Building, Los Angeles, CA. Stanley also worked at Pasadena Junior College, Pasadena, CA. In 1928, Stanley is credited as having co-designed the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences' Oscar figurine with designer Cedric Gibbons.

Born in Louisiana, Stanley's family moved to Watsonville, CA, where he spent much of his childhood. He graduated from high school there and migrated south to Los Angeles, CA, where he spent the remainder of his life. He lived in Sunland, Los Angeles, CA, by 1949 and died there in 05/1970.
