Page & Turnbull was the architect for the seismic retrofit of the building. Faced with the prospect of retrofitting a six-story multi-tenanted building, the owner elected to decrease the height and size of the building by removing the upper three stories, and at the same time rebuilding the street facade to approximate its original 1907 appearance. The building was totally rehabilitated to house a single retail tenant.
