Ontario Motor Speedway was located east of Los Angeles; the oval was a 2.5 mile duplicate of Indianapolis Motorspeedway, and an infield road course was added. Built in the summer of 1970, it was never a financial success, despite hosting Indy Cars and NASCAR, and in December of 1980, it was sold to developers."
