Capacity would drop from 235 beds to 160; two other building options were sketched out in the press release; changes in seismic requirments of the California Building Code made it necessary to retrofit the existing Central and East Buildings by 2008 or rebuild a new campus by 2013; the hospital's West Building [ built 1989?] currently met seismic codes in 2003;
