"WSPH mostly serves adults throughout King County who are involuntarily committed by the County Designated Mental Health Professionals. Occasionally adolescents are admitted when the CDMHPs have no more appropriate options for the youth. At times we admit individuals from other counties who have been involuntarily detained in King County. Most are referred as ITA patients, meaning that they have accessed our services through the Involuntary Treatment Act system. WSPH also has the capacity to serve individuals who voluntarily seek psychiatric inpatient services."
