Carrie Strickland Schilling and William Neburka founded "Works Parternship Architecture, LLC," in Portland, OR, in 2005. They worked together and achieved significant success, before Neburka's departure in 2018. (Neburka would later found the Portland and Cleveland, OH-based Evident Architecture Office.

In the wake of Neburka's departure, Carrie Strickland and her new partner Jennifer Dzienis renamed the partnerhsip, "Works Progress Architecture, LLP. " Strickland then shortened its name by at least 2025 to "Works Architecture, LLP."

In 2025, Works Architecture, LLP, had two offices: 811 SE Stark Street, #210 Portland, OR 97214 and 4707 W Jefferson Boulevard Los Angeles, CA 90016. The Porland office had a telephone number of 503.234.2945 in 2025.
