Architect Maury Diggs (1886-1953) practiced on his own in Oakland, CA, after 1917. He had formerly been a partner of architect Clarence C. Cuff (1871-1965) in Sacramento, CA, but became embroiled in an affair with a young woman that led to arrest and conviction of the Mann Act.
