Paul Zajfen was a founding partner of the IBI Group and worked there for 18 years, between 1977 and 1995. It had an office in Los Angeles, CA.

In 2009, it acquired the architectural firm, Tetra Design, Incorporated, Architects, of Los Angeles, CA. At this time, Phil Beinhaker was IBI's Chairman, Director and CEO of the IBI Group of Firms.
