Eugene Kaufman bought a majority share in the venerable Gwathmey Siegel and Associates, Architects, partnership in 2011, about two years after the death of Charles Gwathmey (1938-2009). Kaufman continued to operate his own New York design firm, Gene Kaufman Architects, at the same time.
