The Scofield-Twaits Construction Company was in operation by 1927, and was formed from a merger of the Scofield Construction Company and the Ford J. Twaits Construction Company. Both Scofield and Twaits had mid-1920s houses designed by architect Alfred S. Nibecker, Jr., in Beverly Hills, CA.
