This construction company was known formerly as "Robert Fisher and Sons, Incorporated." It began as J.R.F. Construction in Burlington, WA, in 1975, and became "Robert Fisher and Sons, Incorporated," when another of Robert Fisher's sons began work with J.R.F., c. 1980.

Robert Fisher and Sons, Incorporated, announced its change of name to the "Fisher Construction Group," on 03/31/2015. In 2015, a group of 22 employees owned the stock of the Fisher Construction Group. Employee ownership began at Robert Fisher and Sons in 1996.
