George Edwin Bergstrom, Jesse Earl Stanton
Active 1915-1941
Firm Notes
George Edwin Bergstrom operated a successful practice through the 1920s. When the building industry collapsed during the Depression, business slowed considerably. Unlike many others, though, Bergstrom had considerable assets due to wealth accumulated by his family and that of his wife. Bergstrom had always been active in the local American Institute of Architects Chapter in Southern CA, but he became very active in the organization during the later 1930s and early 1940s, serving two terms as its President.
