Clements operated his own firm after the closure of Morgan, Walls and Clements c. 1937, reforming as Stiles O. Clements and Associates, Architects-Engineers, 1937-1955. This firm, in turn, was superceded by Stiles and Robert Clements, Architects-Engineers, in 1955.
