This firm developed out of S. Leonard Auerbach and Associates, a San Francisco-consultancy (formed in 1973) that focused on theatre design and architectural lighting. In 2002. Auerbach and Associates split into two consultancies: Auerbach Pollock Friedlander, Performing Arts/Media Facilities Planning and Design and Auerbach Glasow, Architectural Lighting Design and Consulting. This firm also consults on audio-video systems design.
