Sanson was a Parisian architect who designed large-scale residences for wealthy clients throughout France but primarily in Paris. He was known to have designed two residences in the US. On the West Coast, he designed the Carolan Estate in Hillsborough, CA, between 1914 and 1916.
His first name is recorded variously as "Ernest-Paul Sanson" and "Paul-Ernest Sanson."
