This firm operated in Fresno, CA, before 1924. In late 1923, this notice appeared in the American Architect-Architectural Review: "W.D. Trewhitt and H.W. Shields of the architectural firm of Trewhitt-Shields Co. of Fresno, Cal., announce that they have taken into their firm H. Rafael Lake and R. Raymond Fisher. The firm also announces the opening of a Los Angeles office in the Western Mutual Life Building, with Mr. Fisher in charge. The main offices of the company will continue to be located in the Rowell Building, Fresno." (See "Personals," American Architect-Architectural Review, 12/05/1923, p. 20.)
