The architectural firm of Egan and Prindeville had its headquarters in Chicago, IL. According to architectural writer Peter B. Wight, the partnership of Egan and Prindeville "...was continued until July 6, 1914, when Mr. Egan, on account of failing health, retired from active practice." (See P.B. Wight, :"James J. Egan--1839-1914," Construction News, vol. XXXVIII, no. 3, 01/15/1915, p. 7.) The firm of Egan and Prindeville continued to design Roman Catholic churches around the US, but focused in Chicago.
