The German giant, Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, (1886-1969), operated his architectural firm in Chicago, IL. In 1973, after his death, the office was known as "The Office of Mies van der Rohe." In 02/1973, Progressive Architecture reported that the firm had obtained new quarters in 1 Illinois Center, Suite #3015, Chicago, IL, 60601. (See "Notices," Progressive Architecture, vol.
