The position was later called the State of California, Department of General Services, Division of the State Architect (DSA); Alfred Eichler, made a Supervising Architect in 1949-1963, helped to design many of the buildings in the California State College System. Dale E. Dwyer joined the State Architect's Office in 1952, and worked there until at least 1970.
