The Main Campus Square was designed c. 1981 by the firm of Bassetti / Norton / Metler Architects, working with the landscape architecture firm of Jongejan, Gerrard, and McNeal of Bellevue, WA. The landscape contractor was C.R. Harnden and Company. The Main Campus Square won a design award from the Washington Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA) in 1982.
