The Childrens' Museum of Los Angeles operated in this first location from 1979-2000. It was forced to move due to an expiring lease and lack of room. It planned a new museum located at Hansen Dame, designed by Sarah Graham of the architecture firm, Angelil/Graham/Pfenninger/Scholl, and the exhibition design firm of Edwin Schlossberg Incorporated.
