This project was initiated by Horizon Wind Energy of Houston, TX, and was projected to be the largest or second-largest investment in Kittitas County in 10/2007. Kittitas County officials filed suit to stop the creation of this windmill farm located 12 miles northwest of Ellensburg, WA, because it was located too close to residential areas and was an eyesore to local inhabitants.
