This 55,000 square-foot building housed science lecture halls, laboratories, offices and classrooms, all specially-designed for equipment that was vibration-sensitive and very heavy.

The existing, two-story, 45,000 square-foot building was renovated in the early 2000s, at which time the interior was completely replanned and the structure re-engineered. A third floor containing 15,000 gross square feet was added. This renovation cost in the neighborhood of $35 million.
