The exterior of this house may have been designed by the Beezer Brothers, at this time working in Altoona, PA, for the banker, William Augustus Huff (b. Altoona, PA, 01/20/1856-d. Saint Petersburg, FL, 03/26/1928). The interior was apparently designed by the noted Boston, MA, architect, Ralph Adams Cram between 1899-1902. Katherine Huff Horn, daughter of the Willliam Huff, donated the house to Christ Episcopal Church in 1968, which sold it to the YWCA of Westmoreland County, PA, in 1970. The YWCA has maintained it since then. This may have been one of three houses designed by the Beezers for the Huff Family in PA, the two others being for George F. Huff (c. 1896)1896 and Lloyd B. Huff (1897).

A rear garage was demolished and replaced with a new one in 1995.
