This was the first, flagship store of what came to be a West Coast chain of Manning's cafeteria-style restaurants that gradually went out of business by the 1960s. Manning's occupied this Pike Place Market space for about 49 years. This was the first Manning's location, begun by two brothers from Boston who migrated to Seattle, WA, in the early 1900s; it was one of the most successful businesses to have been started in the Public Market Center during its first decade of existence.
Demolished; replaced by Lowell's Restaurant in 1957.
