According to current homeowner, Jeff Moidel, James T. Ronald (1855-1951), a lawyer, judge, and Mayor of Seattle, WA, enlarged an existing, 5-room house (built originally in 1883) in 1889. He used an architect to do this enlargement. (Email from Jeff Moidel to the author, 06/14/2012.) In 2008, the Ronald House was for sale for an asking price of $1,595,000; this three-story residence was listed as having 5 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms comprising 4,828 square feet. The lot contained 10,350 square feet. I

This Neoclassical house was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1975.

In 2008, the house has recently been renovated.
