President Paul Pigott (1900-1961) and the Pacific Car and Foundry Company bought this manufacturing facility in 01/1946, and used it as a manufacturing facility for its Kenworth Truck subsidiary. Previously, Kenworth operated factories in Seattle's Cascade neighborhood, first at 506 Mercer Street (beginning in 1923) and, later, 1263 Mercer Street.
