Pigott Hall houses the Albers School of Business and Economics, with its administrative and faculty offices, classrooms, the Pigott Auditorium, and computer facilities. It was named in honor of Seattle University benefactor, William Pigott, (1860-1929), the founder of the Seattle Steel Company and the Seattle Car Manufacturing Company. These two concerns ultimately developed into the rail car and truck manufacturer, the Pacific Car and Foundry Company, later known as PACCAR.
