This facility produced a logging truck that could be employed to remove large logs from forests. William Pigott (1860-1929), who founded the successful Seattle Steel Company in 1903, also operated the Railway and Steel Supply Company. Seattle Steel would ultimately develop into the PACCAR International truck-building conglomerate.
