Alteration

Rudolph Schindler (1887-1953) renovated this restaurant 1932-1934 for restaurateurs, David Covey and Adolph Edward "Eddie" Brandstatter. Schindler undertook several commissions for Brandstatter, including his Café Monmartre in Hollywood, Los Angeles, (1931), Lindy's Restaurant, Los Angeles, (1932-1934), Brandstatter House alteration (1934) and the celebrated Sardi's Restaurant remodeling, Los Angeles, (1932-1934).

Demolition

Lindy's Restaurant was razed. In 2021, large apartment buildings lined this side of South Hobart Boulevard, just off of Wilshire Boulevard.
