In 2007, the Weyerhaeuser facility in Elma, WA, produced 165 million square feet of 3/8ths-inch green and dry veneer per year, material the company used in the prosuction of residential support beams. Weyerhaeuser sold the plant in 06/2007 to Murphy Company of Eugene, OR. The factory employed 60 at the time of the sale.
