The National Audubon Society, Corporation, leased 17 acres for its Audubon Center at Debs Park. The building served 8 employees. Using this building as a model, the National Audubon Society planned to build a thousand urban park facilities around the country by 2020.

Completed in 11/2003, this 5,020 square-foot building attained a U.S. Green Building Council LEED-NC rating v.2/v.2.1; Level: Platinum (53 points).
