Alteration

B. Dudley Stuart and Robert H. Ross, Architects, designed an addition to the original house in late 1955 and early 1956. The sorority secured an adjoining 60-foot property and extended the existing dining room, created a two-floor entry hall, and added, on the first floor, a multipurpose social room with fenced patio, a study room, and a housemother suite. The addition's second story contained a new lounge, sleeping rooms, and study hall. The remodeling was scheduled for completion in late September 1955, while the addition had its scheduled completion in early 1956. O.B. Daniels and Son served as the project's general contractor. (See "Sorority House to Add Wing," Seattle Times, 09/04/1955, p. 21.)
