The Beezer Brothers, Louis (1869-1929) and Michael (1869-1933), worked frequently for the Catholic Church throughout the West Coast, but mostly in the State of WA. They designed this hospital for the Sisters of Saint Joseph of Peace, which ran it in this location for 44 years. The cornerstone was laid on 09/25/1921 and construction concluded on the $350,000 project during 1922. According to the web site of the Central Washington Hospital in Wenatchee, WA: "The origins of Central Washington Hospital date to the early 1900s with the establishment of Central Washington Deaconess Hospital and St. Anthony’s Hospital. The two organizations merged in 1974 to form Central Washington Health Services Association. The St. Anthony’s facility was renamed Rosewood Hospital in 1978 and the facilities combined their operations at the remodeled and expanded Rosewood Hospital site under the name Central Washington Hospital." (See "Our History,"Accessed 04/24/2012.) Following the construction of a new facility for the Central Washington Hospital, this venerable facility became housing dedicated to senior citizens under the name "Christopher House." It opened in 1988 and was at first operated as a Board and Care Home. Cornerstone Realty Holdings, LLC, of Bend, OR, bought it in 07/2010, and set up care for up to 64 current residents with developmental disabilities and/or mental illnesses.
