Overview

Seattle architect Milton A. Stricker designed this one-story, flat-roofed, wood-frame dwelling for a corner lot in Seattle's Laurelhurst neighborhood.

Building History

The architect Milton A. Stricker (1926-2008) designed this residence in 1955, making it one of Stricker's earliest independent commissions.

The Johnson family has owned the house at 4300 NE 41st Street since at least 1999. It was owned by James Harold and Krystal Maxine Johnson from at least 1999 until 2003, when Rodney D. Johnson became its owner. (See King County Assessor.gov, "Parcel Data for Parcel #421740-0325," accessed 07/21/2025.)

Building Notes

The house occupied a 6,000-square-foot parcel, and contained 1,410 square feet on its first floor and basement. (See King County Assessor.gov, "Parcel Data for Parcel #421740-0325," accessed 07/21/2025.)

Alteration

The building's original open carport was enclosed to create a two-car garage in 2004. (See King County Assessor.gov, "Parcel Data for Parcel #421740-0325," accessed 07/21/2025.)
