This school--set on 40 acres--was known originally as the "College of Puget Sound." In 1927, the school planned to have 9 quadrangles forming its campus; it served 677 students. Jones Hall adjoined Sutton Quadrangle. In 2009, it accommodated the Communication Studies and Theatre Arts Departments as well as administrative offices for admission, financial aid and scholarships, university relations and the university president. The Norton Clapp Theatre occupied space on the building's second floor.

The Tacoma Art Association established the city's Art Museum in this building in 19??.

houses the Communication Studies and Theatre Arts departments and is also the administrative hub of campus. Here you will find the Office of Admission, the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships, the Office of University Relations and the Office of the President
