In the 1880s, this theatre had a close relationship with Seattle-based vaudeville impresario, John Cort (1859-1929). Acts would circulate among Cort-affiliated venues in Washington State and elsewhere in the Western US--Seattle's Standard Theatre, Spokane's Theatre Comique and Tacoma's Morgan Variety Theatre, to name a few--in 1888. (See Eugene C. Elliott, A History of Variety-Vaudeville in Seattle, [Seattle: University of Washington Press, 1944], p. 19.)
