In 2007, Alaska and its subsidiary airline, Horizon Air, remodeled its ticket counters at Sea-Tac International Airport. It moved from a long counter model of providing tickets, to a pod model, wherein passengers would walk up to separate check-in kiosks and interact with a computer that would dispense tickets and boarding passes.
