Alumnus, Phil Knight, (MBA, 1962) agreed to donate $105 million to the Stanford Graduate School of Business (GSB) 08/01/2006 to assist in the creation of a new campus, consisting of eight buildings arranged in three quadrangles. To fund the project, GSB will have to raise $175 million more during 2006-2007. Groundbreaking was scheduled to occur in 2008. The 340,000 square-foot Knight Center would be located across the street from the Schwab Residential Center for GSB students, and would occupy the current location of two administrative buildings at 651 Serra Street.
