Building History
This mission had several buildings, a Gothic Revival church surrounded by a number of two-story houses and agricultural builidngs. It was established by two priests of the Oblates of Mary Immaculate, Father Eugene Casimir Chirouse (1821-1892) and Paul Durieu (1830-1899), who built a log cabin at what the Tulalip Indians called "Priest Point" in 1857.
