Building History

Alice Crenshaw and her family moved into Joseph L. Eichler's (1900-1974) Greenmeadow Tract on 10/31/1954, the first people to do so.

Greenmeadow was one of the most celebrated Eichler's tracts in South Palo Alto, CA; the National Assocation of Home Builders (NAHB) presented a house in the Greenmeadow Tract with an Award of Merit in 1954; Progressive Architecture magazine awarded the Greenmeadow Community with a Citation Award in 1955.
