555 City Center covers the block bounded by 11th, 12th, Clay and Jefferson Streets.

This high-rise, one of four planned by the San Francisco-based Shorenstein Development Company, was the only one actually erected in the Oakland City Center Project. 555 City Center has 21 stories, containing 468,000 square feet of Class A office space and 19,000 square feet of lobby-level retail space. The building was LEED Certified.

Construction began 05/2000 and opened for tenants on 04/18/2002. Ted Korth, of Korth Sunseri Hagey, Architects, was the Partner-in-Charge of Design.
