Building History

Designed by architect, Julia Morgan, this First Generation Bay Area Style building, the Berkeley Women's City Club, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, level of significance: Local. The building is a mixed Romanesque and Gothic design.

It functioned as a women's club between 1930 and 1969. In 1969, it was renamed the "Berkeley City Club."
