S. Charles Lee designed the Reseda Theater c. 1947, and it opened the following year. It has been closed for several years (2003), although it has been used as a film location for such films as "Boogie Nights;" this single-screen theater accommodated 900, and was built for the Metropolitan Theatre chain.
