Edward Durrell Stone and Associates had the primary responsibility for the design for the Harvey Mudd College Plan dated from 06/1956. Heitschmidt and Thompson, Los Angeles, CA, served as Associated Architects. Project Description: construction began in October 1956, designed in Palo Alto office summer of 1956. Blueprints, complete set of working drawings of Harvey Mudd College included in the Edward Durrell Stone Papers, University of Arkansas (J-10); Harvey Mudd College occupies 36 acres, and forms a rectangle, bounded by Claremont Boulevard to the east, 12th Street to the south, Dartmouth Avenue to the west, and Foothill Boulevard (Route 66) to the north.
