John D. Spreckels funded the construction of this outdoor pipe organ as a gift to the city and its 1915 Panama-California Exposition. It is one of the largest outdoor pipe organs in the world.

This gable-roofed building with acroteria and an arched stage, conducted outdoor organ recitals at the Panama-California International Exposition. Its has remained functional to the present.
