Overview
While this two-story, wood-frame house bore many hallmarks of Wright's early Prairie School work, architect Frank Lloyd Wright chose to use less brick and stucco for this California house, and clad the building in shiplapped redwood siding. Adjusted to the state's temperate clime, the Stewart House had a lighter, more transparent look and feel than his work designed for the cold climates of the American Midwest.
