Real estate developer, James V. Baldwin, erected this building in 1924. Baldwin had begun in Ohio and had come to California c. 1900; he married Maude Munn Baldwin before 1893. They had at least one child, Andrew Edward Baldwin, (b. OH, 04/30/1893-d. Sedona, AZ, 05/24/1943).
