Barney Ebsworth, a businessman who moved to Hunt's Point, WA from Saint Louis, MO, in 2000, hoped to provide a significant piece of architecture for the Puget Sound region; he hoped to build a place of meditation in honor of the Ebsworth Family, costing approximately $10-20 million. Originally, this chapel was destined to be located in the Bridle Trails neighborhood of Bellevue, WA, but residents objected to it. Later relocated to a site near Interlaken Park in Seattle's Capitol Hill neighborhood, residents there also objected, dismissing the project as a "vanity temple." Ebsworth, a long-time Saint Louis, MO, resident, founded the travel agency, Intrav, which was bought by a Swiss company in 1999.

Originally designed for a Bellevue site, this Seattle project remained unbuilt in 2006.
